x GAMES OF THRONES

Johnnie Walker is launching a special limited edition whisky aptly called "White Walker" and for its launch, an interactive HTML5 is created based on a reconstructed story of Games of Thrones. User is taken on a journey to 8 different places on a fictional map where he/she decides on the course of action which ultimately leads to the discovery of the "White Walker" bottle towards the end. The HTML5 is also tied to e-commerce sites where users can purchase the limited edition bottle. Similarly, one of the story is also made to coincide with the event launch.

MULLENLOWE CNY

Mullenlowe Shanghai celebrates Chinese New Year by sharing a HTML5 slot machine game where a daily jackpot winner walks away with a mystery prize, running a span of 10 days.

 

The jackpot comprises of the Mullenlowe Gloves, taken from its iconic octopus logo. The gloves come in 4 different colours, each representing the different arm of the Mullenlowe Group: Black & white for Mullenlowe, yellow for Mullenlowe Profero, red for Mullenlowe Mediahub and blue for Mullenlowe Open.

 

The rest of the slot machine graphic are made up of the 12 zodiac animals, each carefully crafted using the style of the octopus logo.

No gambling is involved in this game; instead, it's created purely for fun as the only currency involved to attain more digital credits is by watching the Mullenlowe global video.

VOLVO POLESTAR

In order to introduce Volvo’s new range through social media, a HTML5 interactive experience is created where the user is prompted to discover the many special parts which make up the “Polestar” edition.

Firstly, the silhouette of the car is shown in a modern garage, before it is fully revealed once the light is turned on. The user then has the option of swiping to the left or right of the screen, both containing framed images of parts found in Volvo's Polestar. The clickable images open up in a separate pop-up window to reveal more about the parts.

 

User has to finish discovering all the 10 frames before the camera pans back to the car where the garage door behind opens up and a short clip is then played.

THE PENINSULA

For its Valentine promotion, The Peninsula Hotels created a simple HTML5 engagement which uses its teddy bear mascot as a bearer of gifts in a heart-shaped hot air balloon.

The mechanism involves swiping the hot air balloon either upwards or downwards, with smaller clickable hot air balloons in the background featuring brands from different vendors across different cities.

 

Once clicked, a smaller pop-out window will reveal the promotions offered by the brands.

PORSCHE

Porsche intends to create a learning tool for its staff in China. In order to sustain their interest and spur them to learn in a more enjoyable manner, an interactive, simple-to-navigate app is created which included some games where each individual scores will be recorded.

YIHAODIAN

A series of entertaining short clips created to be shared over Yihaodian's (a popular e-commerce site) social media platform, highlighting promotions such as free groceries and shaking phone for coupons.
